I've brought my Dodge Hornet to Sid Dillon twice now. The technicians did good work in a timely manner, and that part I have no complaints about. The issues have all been on the service advisor and admin side. On my first visit, shortly after purchasing the vehicle, I came in for a low coolant level, a remote start issue, and a sagging belly pan. Christopher topped off the coolant and got the remote start working. However, I was told the multi-point inspection showed the alignment was good, and that the belly pan would cost around $800 to replace, even though the parts were roughly $150 on Mopar's site. I took it to a body shop instead, and they fixed the sag with a few washers and fasteners, free of charge. About a month later, I came back for an oil change and brake fluid service with Nathan. This time I was told the alignment was off. I believe it did need one, since a tire shop told me the same and I had a vibration above 75 mph, but it's hard to square with the "alignment is good" result from a month earlier. The bigger frustration is the sloppiness on the admin side: Twice I was told the car would be washed, and it wasn't. My oil package wasn't applied to the bill, and I had to point it out myself. Nearly a month later working with Nathan, my service history still hasn't been updated on Carfax, even after I left a voicemail asking about it. None of these alone is a huge deal, and I did get my problems solved. But together they show a lack of attention to detail and follow-through. The shop itself seems capable. The service desk needs a manager's attention.
